The City of Leavenworth is partnering with the Leavenworth County Emergency Management Office for a texting tool that will benefit the public by providing text or e-mail news notifications. This is a pilot program provided at no additional cost to the City. It provides real-time communication for urgent information — such as City closures or changes in service to the general public.

Leavenworth City offices and the Riverfront Community Center are closed Monday, Sept. 1 for the Labor Day holiday.

Trash collection will be shifted one day later than usual throughout the week. For example, if your trash is normally collected on a Monday, it will be collected on a Tuesday instead. This one-day shift will apply to all subsequent collection days within the week as well.

There will be no curbside large item pickup the week of Sept. 1-6.
