On the first Saturday of each month, the City of Leavenworth offers “Free First Saturdays.” This event is an opportunity for residents to utilize the City’s services with no additional fees. Any time the first Saturday of the month falls on a holiday, Free First Saturday will be delayed. 

  • The Self-Serve Recycling Center: Lawrence and Pennsylvania streets 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Large Item Drop-Off: Behind the Municipal Service Center, dumpsters are provided for residents at the north entrance (Pennsylvania and Lawrence) to drop off materials such as large appliances, furniture and trash between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Tires and household hazardous waste (paint, pesticide, propane, etc) are not accepted at this event.
