Stormwater Utility Fee: Investing in Our Infrastructure

In 2018, the City Commission adopted Charter Ordinance No. 40, creating the Stormwater Utility Fee. This dedicated funding source helps ensure the ongoing maintenance, repair, and replacement of critical stormwater infrastructure across the City.

Thanks to this funding, the City has already completed many essential stormwater projects, with several future projects identified by staff. Stormwater infrastructure failures can happen anywhere—on public or private property—making continued investment vital to protect homes, businesses, and streets.
