Fees: $45 Residents/$55 Non-Residents - - For registering multiple children in the same household at one time, the first two are at full price. The third child (and subsequent children after that) will receive a discount. Call or email Parks & Recreation before registering online to receive the discount.The Parks and Recreation Department provides these programs for children, teens, and adults. Certified instructors will provide you with a supportive environment in which to learn and obtain skills. Classes are taught at the Riverfront Community Center.

- For Ages 6 & up - Sign up for Level 1 - Introduction to Water Skills: Students will learn how to feel comfortable in the water and safely enjoy it.
- Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills: Students will learn how to feel comfortable in the water and safely enjoy it.
- Level 2: Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills: Children will learn basic propulsive skills on the front and back.
- Level 3: Stroke Development: Additional guided practice builds on skills learned in levels 1 & 2 will help students achieve water competency.
- Level 4: Stroke Improvement: Kids will gain confidence during swim lessons, improve their strokes and gain additional aquatic skills.
- Level 5: Stroke Refinement: Guidance allows kids to refine their strokes and become more efficient swimmers.
- Level 6: Swimming and Skill Proficiency: Students will learn to swim with ease and efficiency and gain the ability to swim smoothly over greater distances. Swimmers will also have the option to participate in more advanced courses.
*Parent/Child classes require a family "helper" to attend and participate in the water with the child (no additional charge).*
Inclement Weather/Lightning Policy:
In the event of inclement weather, classes will still run. However, if thunder/lightning is present, all classes will be taught on deck to go over required pool safety rules and information.
