Walking trail along the Missouri River at Leavenworth Landing Park

Park Hours:  6 a.m. to 10 p.m., daily.

Leavenworth Landing Park is a beautiful, one-quarter mile linear parkway along the Missouri River.  The park is adjacent to the Riverfront Community Center and historic downtown Leavenworth. The entrance to the Three-Mile-Creek Trail connects at the south end of the walkway.

Park History:

The park commemorates the surface transportation links that made Leavenworth important in the 1850s, including riverboats, railroad, wagon escorts, outfitters, trails west, and military roads.  The City acquired the land in 1995 and constructed the park in 1996 using funding awarded by the State of Kansas from the federal Transportation Enhancement Program.
