Melissa Etheridge Tour #1: Hometown Proud Sign

In the summer of 2023, the City of Leavenworth started the Hometown Proud project, and in September 2024 the Hometown Proud signs were placed at Ray Miller Park. The City of Leavenworth is home to many individuals and groups with high levels of success and service. The City has established the Hometown Proud Sign Recognition program to honor those community members that have attained the highest levels of achievement and will bring a lasting renown to the individual or team.  

Honorees were either born in Leavenworth, raised in Leavenworth or have had a longtime presence within the Leavenworth community. 

In August 2002, Melissa was honored by the City of Leavenworth with an unveiling of a guitar sign which is now on display at the Riverfront Community Center (123 S. Esplanade Street).
