PT Probation Officer I

The Probation Officer (Part Time) is part of the municipal court team, supporting the judge and the prosecutor. They help those convicted of crimes with an alternative to jail time so they can maintain employment and family responsibilities. This position meets regularly with probation and diversion clients to track their progress completing court-ordered activities including MADD classes, ADIS classes, ADSAP drug/alcohol assessments, and gaining employment. It is an administrative position that creates reports from NCIC’s Interstate Identification Index (III) for the prosecutor with criminal history information. When needed, they conduct urinalysis testing. Court attendance required every Thursday. Weekly schedule based on office coverage needs (no nights or weekends) and includes 12 holidays per year. Hiring range from $20.71 - $25.89/hr. with consideration given for applicants with prior probation, court, paralegal, social work or law enforcement experience.
